Bihar...now d 12th largest state of India w.r.t area was previously d part of Bengal province. In 1936 Orissa came out as a state & then in 2000 Jharkhand . Situated in d north east mainland of India..it is 1 of d most populated state of India.
The word Bihar comes 4m a sanskrit word "VIHAR"...which means "vicharan sathal"...i.e. Tourist paradise. Being d birth place of buddism & jainism , it has been a holy place 4m abt 2500 years.
King Ashoka built more than 1 lakh stupas/viharas (monastries) in and around Patliputra. This is another reason behind its name.
[MAN never learn 4m history..bt taking such a glorious history in our mind.,will surely boost up our confidence...and help a long way in revival of this part of our country...i.e. BIHAR]
